I've got above 50k unique visitors to my blog in the first month i.e. because I've done proper seo and used the right keywords which are best suitable to my site's content.

Yea 3k - well done. It pays to be social and interact with bloggers and you'll soon build up a good amount of traffic.

I'd say most people get less than 100 through organic

Some great posts here...Personally I would say from my experience it all depends on how competitive your niche and target keywords are you go after, what your plan of attack re traffic driving...free (which source), paid etc..This is what I explain to my SEO clients too...

For every niche / keyword it will be different, no hard and fast rules...follow a proven traffic building plan and traffic will come...just make sure to provide value so your traffic will exponantiolly double from word of mouth etc...

    Good luck

3K is very good for the first month. If you can keep growing on that, you will be doing very well.

Haha, it was quite a while back so I don't remember exactly, but I don't think I broke 300 my first month with my very first site. I've definitely had to learn a lot since then, but there are lots of good tips here! 3k for your first month is great so keep it up! :)

My first blog got about 1´000 visitors the first month.
My second blog got about 45´000 visitors the first month.

It all depends on where you're marketing it and what you're offering on the blog.

Traffic for a new blog really depends on the promotional methods you use, which is why it's always a good idea to do some prior keyword research to find out if a keyword is worth the traffic

Yeah aren't they dapper!! Simply awesome...

I rarely start new blogs - I prefer to buy an existing blog and work on it :p

As easy as that sounds - 90% of webmasters here wouldn't have a clue what it means and where to find key words LoL

Wow that's a massive difference. I run a technology blog and its a really hard niche. Tens of thousands of blogs are already out there on this topic if not more. So ranking on google is really hard. But I believe if I keep writing good content google will recognise me one day:D Also I have seen a lot of technology related blogs, really bad ones who dont do anything original but those people still get tons of traffic from google. So that serves as a motivation to me. If those guys can do it so can I:D I do provide something useful and original atleast.

45,000 views is a lot btw. Hope you get even more this month..
