    Hello,

I am starting to submit articles to article directories in search of more exposure and backlinks to my site. Are there any things that simply should not be done when submitting these articles? Any serious no nos that should never show up in an article? Thanks!

Stay away from words like spam. And don't over use keywords. For example, if you're trying to rank for the phrase "make money" don't use "make money" dozens of times in a 200 word article for example.

Also, include your site link near the bottom of the article. Some sites may give you a specific place to enter a site link and tell you not to put links in the body of your article. So watch out for that too.

Thanks danasurvey! Do you think there is a good range for article length to stick to? I know some directories have minimum lengths and I have also heard that 400-800 words is a good rule to live by. Any other input on making sure the article is not too long or too short?
