After having tried McAffee, Norton, Kaspersky and AVG, I nowadays stick to Microsoft Security Essentials.

Norton, I moved away from after it crashed on me for no apparent reason right after downloading a new virus definition, and I was unable to uninstall it due to it leaving a lot of its regisrtry keys lurking. After combing the Registry for half an hour, I was able to reinstall it, and when it grabbed the latest virus definition, it crashed again. I tossed it out and never looked back :D

AVG was what I used for years, but I ended up leaving that when they started charging as well. That was about the same time Microsoft started offering their anti-virus kit, and that is what I have been sticking with ever since. It's free, runs smoothly, and so far I have not had any incidents with virii or other malware *knock on wood*

Microsoft's own MSE. Very lightweight and doesn't bother me with popups and other annoyance.

Until recently switching to Mac OS, NOD32 was my go-to antivirus (on Windows). It was the only BS-free solution I could find :p.

I used to have Norton and then Avira but now I'm using AVG because it's free and light compare to the others. But lately, I feel like AVG doesn't detect anything anymore. I wonder if it's working or not.
