    instead Start a fan page. Facebook allows you to have an indefinite number of fans at this time so start a fan page for all your friends to follow you.

    yes there is certain number of limits to adding new friend but no idea about how many number of friends you can.?You can not send more 20 friends request in a day.

    If you want to fans then 5000 is most. May be this limit will increase for business purpose. But I think 5000 contact are enough for any business.

    Important thing is to keep your friends interested in what you post in your wall or theirs. I'd say it's a matter of getting their attention so they keep coming back, whether on social reasons or for business..

    I believe 5000 is the limit. And it's not a crime to add friends but it's apparantely a "facebook crime" if you add people you don't know. You won't be banned permanently, first they will give you a 3 day ban from adding friends and if you continue doing it, the ban will be extended to 5, 7, 14 and eventually your account will be banned if you continue doing it. Lol.
