Sorry for the noob question but how do you get accepted in to cj?.. they seem to require a site in order to get approved. what type of site do you need in order to get accepteed? bans site? store stacker site? does anyone have an example site that i can see? please help! Thx.
I used a blogger.com site when I started. And now I have 4 blogger sites and 2 websites with domains I purchased from godaddy.com and hosted at a free website hosting site.
I'd totally get a free blog with blogger or wordpress (my preference) and then apply. You might need an article or two on your free blog but not much at all to get accepted. The trick isn't getting into Commission Junction but rather, getting accepted by some of their top advertisers once you have been enlisted. In short, a free blog will do the trick if you're interested in email campaigns and more however, getting accepted by some advertisers takes a mix of content, profit history, earning potential and your basic starting niche. Best of luck to you and feel free to ask for more advice!
Unless you have high traffic of potential buyers, CJ is pretty useless. Also, they tend to be dishonest; they once considered my account too small (I had earned some 20$ of commisions over 2 years) and closed it without further notification... and I never got my $20. Amazon are a much better affiliate program.
Startup a blogger site or even a squidoo lense. If you need help setting up a website feel free to PM me. I've been doing this for a while.
I don't think they care much about what site you have as a Publisher. I got submitted one half-developed website with a few shops' reviews with PR 0 and got accepted right away. Its difficult and expensive to become an Advertiser though. From the other hand, Advertisers DO care what website you have and they can ban you from their affiliate network if they don't like your website.
the vendor affiliate managers typically approve the sites not CJ. So no site, no acceptance unless they are set to auto approve. CJ will cancel your account if no sales in 6 months though.
cj is not CTR based money program. you have to generate quality traffic so you can sell things on your website. You can start with your hands on niche. Such as if you are good in technology stuffs then search on cj related to your website content and traffic categories and join such sites on cj to get more and more commission .
From my experience Cj is auto arpproved but you need to apply separately for each mercahnt there. In case declined by merchant, just email their Am and you will get approved.
It is obviously that CJ make finance sense with imposing quality traffic and makes practically no sense if you lack of it. Traffic is your main purpose to make $ with CJ while quality of a traffic multiplies your revenues.
CJ is recognized industry-wide for the strength and superiority of its tracking technology. If you're able to dream it up, we can help you track and manage it, from inception and sale all the way through to compensation.
Getting accepted to CJ is not a difficult task. But you need your own web site or blog. If you have just try it.
Is there any blog qualification acceptable in CJ, such as minimal traffic or manual content should not be autoblog?
