PR - Is it still important?

Does the Pr of a website influence on the value of the links you are getting from it? Is PR still an important factor?

 

Yes PR is still important!!

 

I feel it is. PR is a way to gauge quality. Websites that are low quality usually have low PR, unless they are new.

 

For me the PR of my websites is not improtant. SERP is more important for me. However, PR can be important for you if you want to sell links on your website.

 

PR is only one criteria of ranking out of hundreds. PR these days don't put much of an influence on ranking. thats why you will see a PR0 site outranking a PR3 sites for a given keyword. just keep building links and dont worry about PR cause with enough backlinks, your Pr will increase anyways.

 

My blog PR is always fluctuate between n/a to 0 and vice versa. I don't know why. Now i think some bad backlinks also cause of fluctuate page PR. Is it?

Does the PR of a page linking to the URL being ranked affect ranking? Yes
Is PR as important as it used to be in the overall ranking algorithm? No

As Google adds more and more ranking factors, each individual factor will become less and less important.

I agree with the statement! Yes PR is important but being on social media is far more important nowadays!
