Are you talking about a mailing list? I use aWeber to do my mailing and they provide all of the statistics - bounce, open, clicks, etc. I am sure there are other programs such as that would help. A good program would cost some money though. I've touched based a little on my latest blog post on my blog. Check it out.
I run a large site with tens of thousands of users. Any idea how I can track how many are reading my email blasts? I do not mind paid software. The script does not integrate with the big email campaign services (such as iContact).
I've used Interspire Email Marketing script. This is something you can install on your site and then figure out a way to export your users and import into Interspire. Once it is there, you can then blast the emails. It allows all or most of the tracking features Aweber does.
Thanks! Do you know if uses image based tracking? With Gmail not allowing images by default that could mess things up.
