Hi, I have a question. I'm doing marketing for quite some time now but my site's traffic isn't increasing. I have created around 75-80 blogposts over a period of 4 months and I'm link building and doing social media but still little traffic. www.railsforsales.com Any suggestions? Thanks
Have you read your own blog? You have good marketing ideas on your site. It seems like if you follow your own advice you would probably see increases.
Wow you have a nice blog! I will be your reader! Make a lot of SEO work, it wil really help. Try to find some cheap stuff on Fiverr.
Have you tried video marketing? Creating videos about topics in your niche should help you get some more traffic.
Your blog is indeed very good articles. I suggest trying what Carla Easley suggested by making videos about topics in your niche. This should at least up the traffic by a little not if a lot.
Disagree. If you'll start your own youtube channel about the things related to your articles on website (you even dont need to write a scripts, just performing your texts in vidio blogs) and place many links near your videos and channel - you can reach around 10-30 clicks to your website from every one hundreed video views. But, after youll start on youtube you should think alot about your video promotion)) Its free to try this, why not
Interesting read. Its a nice site but its strange someone giving advice on how to get sales is struggling with traffic. I wouldn't know what to say other tan to really push the social networks and promote your content there.
A high ranking will not happen overnight. For an ethical traffic, sometimes it will take more than a year. Just be honest and consistent in your SEO. And don't forget to be patient and determined.
Just an addition, maybe the another reason why ranking or traffic is not increasing because your blog posting frequency is too high, i.e., you already have 75-80 blogposts in just four months. The tendency of high posting frequency is that the ranking/traffic of your few last blogs are not yet established yet another post will come. You might want to consider applying proven traffic generation methods to actively promote your website. If you search around the forum, you will be able to find many methods that are shared by many members here. I personally think the key is to stay Focus on mastering one method at a time Zack
Your site hasn't been online for that long. I'm only seeing 20 back links, but your site is growing. Add social media because peer to peer recommendations will be huge again in 2012.
I see a lot of different ideas for ways to market your site. Here are some things I noticed about your site. think about the keywords you are targeting, how are you optimizing onpage for those? Are you trying to target too many keywords or not putting them in your H1 tags or h2 tags. Trying to target too many keywords at once can confuse big G as to what your site is really about. You have some quality information on your site, but what are you selling? How are you monetizing your site? You are not doing any form of lead capture, you are giving all of your best info away for free. If that is your intent-good for you. If traffic is all you want so you can sell advertising, then syndicating your content in other ways will get you quality backlinks and help drive more traffic. Syndicating your content can come is several forms- creating pdf from your articles and posting those to document sharing sites is one way. Put links to your site and also links to your other docs you are sharing. Use more than one sharing site to post on. Create videos based around your articles-create your own youtube channel and build a following. These videos can be as simple as taking one of your articles and creating a powerpoint presentation out of the main points in the article, adding a slide at the beginning and end with your url. Add some soft music or have someone read the slides for the video. Be sure your video is optimized for the keyword you want to target and your url is the first line of the video description. These are just a few suggestions I would make for you. Your site is new and have you submitted it to directories pinged each new post? SEOQuake says you only have 6 external backlinks-that may or may not be true-I didn't check anywhere else. so work on your backlinks and feel free to PM me is you have any questions. Good Luck!
Sometimes the backlinks you are promoting too might be what is not giving you relevance and increase in the search engines, it is best to pick high authority backlinks
