    If you are referring to removing the website URL from the thread, use the report button (on the first post) and mention clearly that you wish the URL to be removed.

    No need to start a new thread about it ;)

    No, we don't remove the url from the thread. If you had wanted to make it hidden for the search engines then you would have shown the url in an image or withheld it. The forum is nofollow so technically it should make no difference if the thread stays or goes.

    The buyer should also know all this before even contacting you and it is unfair to put pressure on you to get this done. Don't be bullied on this one.

    Maybe the buyer isn't comfortable with the fact that people know the site was bought off from DP from the thread OP!?

    @OP,
    Use sarahk's idea, put an image on the sales thread (hosted on your domain) with the domain name & change it to one which says "Sold" which achieves the objective :)

    Why not? If you're sooo worried about them breaking the rules, you could attach a note to the user with the site and thread URLs.

    I should be doing what?
    If the buyer feels strongly about this then s/he should just click away from threads which expose the url.

    Edit out the URL bit as per OP's request.

    We struggle to keep this place clean of spam etc. I don't have time to be people's personal assistant maintaining their online posting history as well.
