planning to sell real estate website

    I'm planning to sell real estate website (it could be used by agents/brokers or anyone to generate income through advertisement). I need some idea how much should I ask for that. Wordpress blogging directory could be added to site on demand (extra).

    Traffic is the key - no traffic = website is worth very little.

    Selling websites on their own is becoming a little old hat now, as people are working out that traffic = $$

    It all has to do with the revenue... How much does it make in on average per month in the last 6 months and 12 months?

    Yes, it's all about traffic & monthly income. You can see some example of Flippa.
    You can see the monthly revenue and see how much they are selling for.

    Selling price can be several times your monthly revenue or maybe more.
    Greatly varies, but you will get the idea once you checkout some Flippa
    listings.

    Thanks for suggestion. It sounds that I have to allocate a new domain for this project and run it for awhile to establish steady traffic and revenue flow, then sell domain and software solution all together. Correct?

    No traffic at all since it's just a demo on subdomain. Will register domain to implement it. Thanks.

    Just curious, what should be price for real estate site with steady traffic 1K visitors per day?
