    High quality backlinks and content are key. After about a month of solid link building, I got one of my sites to page one for my main keyword and now traffic is around 200-300 organic visits per day.

    As someone who hasn't really jumped into the world of backlinking yet, what did you do for "solid link building"? Did you do it yourself.. as in just a few high quality links every night... or outsource for thousands like I hear so many people do?

    I outsourced my link building which was most effective for me. You can find some decent outsourcing for SEO and backlinks for a couple hundred dollars at places like Freelancer and Elance. If you're working on a budget and want to build them yourself, start building links on High PR sites. You can even try contacting the owners of the sites to see if they'd be willing to do a link exchange to link to your site.
