Alexa updates information way too slow - so please be patient before updates takes place.

 

Here are some ways you can increase your alexa rankings, hope it helps.

1. Use Alexa redirection whenever you can. No matter when or where you provide a link to your website, be sure to use the equivalent Alexa redirect URL. 2. Encourage your website visitors to add their positive testimonials on Alexa’s detailed listings page for your website. This can be done by placing a link to the appropriate Alexa page on your website and asking visitors to “Click here to rate this website”.3. Write your own site reviews on the top 100 rated Alexa sites and include your redirect URL. 4. Download the Alexa ranking button, traffic history graph, info links, and other traffic counters onto the page of your website that receives the most traffic. 5. Take an inexpensive advertisement out on the ExactSeek search directory for only a few dollars per month at exactseek Search engine results are directly correlated with Alexa rankings. You’ll notice that if a website is highly ranked on ExactSeek, chances are that it will be highly ranked on Alexa.6. Get listed on as many search engines as possible by placing a free listing in DMOZ. This is the largest human edited directory on the web and is co-branded among hundreds of thousands of sites. Be patient though, it often takes up to 5 months before you see your website listed after submission. Even though it takes longer than it should, you have little say in the matter because it’s so widely used across the Internet.

These stats are pretty interesting, its really good to see your business is growing.
About alexa rank, its takes time because it will not increase on your daily improvements or progress in traffic, it will be updated after some time, what i mean to say is that if your website keep growing like this or these traffic stats remain stable for your website then after some time your alexa rank will automatically improve.

Debating on Alexa is just like debating on page rank that does it matter or not.
Well i just want to say that keep your content original and unique and keep it updating on regular basis. Make quality back links and soon you will see that your page rank and alexa ranking will increase automatically.

i think that it really doesn't matter a lot for any business.

 

Alexa takes some time to update. But I agree with other users that Alexa doesn't matter for your site. if you want to sell ad for example - advertisers would ask your stats but not the Alexa rank.

 

this is really hard to maintain or make better alexa ranking it needs fresh qualitative content, relevant backlinks and handsome amount of traffic.

in my opinion, alexa is not everything

 

Alexa is not important, only Noobs care about it. Just look at all of them posting on this topic (registered within a year or so). What matters is SERP and making money (CPC,CPA,Affiliate).
Your Alexa rank goes up when people have their Toolbar installed and visit your site. If you want to raise it, just join some traffic exchange sites (that's how easy it is to game Alexa stats)

Worry about what position your ranking for your Keywords in the Search Engines. I would rather advertise with someone who ranks in 1st place for that Keyword and who's site is seen as an Authority. Also use G Analytics to track your traffic.

 

I suppose SEO optimisation might help.

 

Alexa ranking also depends on your website niche and profile of your visitors.

 

I think the Alexa ranking is also important, some advertiser or company making it as one of the assessment for a website. If you've do many things to increase your website visitors, then you just need to be patient.

alexa ranking is based on the alexa ranking tool installed visitor, you can just spend some money to buy those traffic with alexa ranking tool installed (most of them are asia traffic) to improve your alexa ranking. However, what i can see is alexa ranking is totally useless

 

I wanna finally say that after using ALL these tips, our website went from 1 600 000 to under 150 000 in alexa rating! We wanna thank everyone, but the key word was patience here!!
