Go with a big company, like GoDaddy (for both hosting and domains).

Go with Hostgator .. Baby Croc plan, you can host unlimited websites.
I personally use GoDaddy to register domain (about $8/year) and host all the websites at Hostgator ($10 per month)..!!

Isn’t it against the forum rules to post affiliate links?

Anyway, the previous poster listed a nice host. I have to admit that this is an area where you tend to “get what you pay for”, yet, you can get some value for your money. For domain name registrations I prefer Namecheap.com, true their registrations are $8.88 but you can get $0.90 off with code “YAFFASPECIAL” and free domain privacy protection too. Plus their customer service is second to none, if you have an issue they will assist you as fast as or faster than any other domain registrar or reseller I have ever done business with and I have owned more than 550 domain names in the past two years.

    Best wishes,
    Kimmy

I use cheap-domainnames.com for registering my domains and also MachineNetworks.co.uk (UK company) for my hosting. They have both been faultless the whole time.

I needed more MySQL databases on my account a couple of months back and enquired about the extra cost per month, the hosting company just added 2 extra at no charge within minutes. Now thats service!

I would recommend those two simply for the service they've given me.

DreamHost is pretty cheap, and offers some pretty large packages in terms of disk space and bandwidth.

Use godaddy/namecheap for domains. dncoupons.com will give you some discounts.

Hostgator at the moment to fulfill your hosting needs. Look for real reviews by DP users in my sig below...

I use Hostgator webhosting too. Just switched away from 1&1 webhosting. 1&1 is cheap, and I still use them to buy domains, but their hosting has huge restrictions on certain php features I needed, 1 hour phone wait for service, whereas hostgator is usually 30 seconds, etc.

Oh and are we allowed to use aff links here, like that first replyer? Odd, I thought we weren't.
