Domain age of a website is not important in latest SEO ?

We know that Google and Bing is the top search engine, but these 2 where not considering "domain age" as a important thing to show their results

    Is it true ?

seo depends on seo optimized content. Domain age has nothing to do with it.
I have beat some .com sites with my .in sites.
Even if the .com domains are old and my .in domains are brand new.

Domain age is one part of domain evaluation. And thus it can be said that it is important for SEO. Older domains tend to rank better and older domains (can) receive higher PR and better results because of their age.

Evidence suggests that domain age is less important now than before. But its still better to have an older site than a newer site.

Only domain age can not do anything. But remember that if you have a site 2 months ago and you are doing quality work on it and some one have a site of same niche and he also also working on it from the past 5 years. So you can get idea now which one Google and other search engines prefer more. Here the benefit must go to that old domain not to your young baby site.
Hope you got the point now.

The point explained above is considerably important in the case of giving first preference, and i do agree with it.

It may seem like older domains have more authority because if you have quality content on your site and you have been adding new content consistently over the years, then you have most likely gained quality links over that time.

A new site will not have as many quality links so it may appear that the older site has more authority, but it may just be a product of the older site being more established and having a more mature and robust link profile.

Yes TRUE, domain age is a factor like many others for google. Maximize your chances by buying domain names with at least 3years upward is a great solution too that Google take into consideration.

If there are websites that have the same or similar content than you yes then maybe it does. It's all about your reputation online too like how popular you are online over time builds. And how unique your content is over time. Also its not from the day you register your website but from the first moment Google crawls your website and says HEY I like this guy.
