[ASK] Relisting and duplicate thread term

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by sniper2008, Nov 26, 2011.

  1. #1
Just saw that many members got banned because of "duplicate thread" in case of: opening a thread WTS a domain which has been placed on his/her earlier auction, but the domain has not been sold out yet and the auction has ended. Wonder if relisting a domain which is not sold out on my auction ends to be banned?

I am domain seller either so I need to know about this

    Thanks

So there is no relisting allowed here, you just need to bump your thread? How about regular members, we do not have this feature (not premium members).

    Thank you for answering :)

My understanding is yes all members have this option available. Premium members have the added feature of toggling a thread's "spiderability" at that point.

Any member can use the Bump/Relist option. Even easier is to not set an end date for your auction (then it will end 7 days after the last bid).

    Thanks

Regular members can bump one thread every thirty days. Premium members can bump one thread every seven days.

Once every 30 days with a big bold warning saying Use it wisely
Remember not to set an end date, another idea would be to bulk sell (1 thread containing all your domains bumped every 30 days?)

Is answering a question from others or saying such thing like "please check your inbox" considered to be bumping? Because I've seen many members (regular ones) said that thing more than once in a month (30days) and they do not get banned.

    One more question please.

Let me say I opened a thread with bulk domains for selling, as ~~~~ said.
Let me say the domains were:
    -A.com
    -B.com
    -C.com
    -D.com
    -E.com
    -F.com

In 3 days, A and D.com have been sold out, so the rest is B.com, C.com, E.com, and F.com

And then I tell to folks by posting on the same thread some words like, "Update: 2 domains are sold out, the rest is B,C,E,F. Thank you"
The purpose of this posting is to giving information to buyer. Is it considered as "bumping" thread and may cause infraction?

    Thanks

If you post a response in the thread, it won't show on top of page 1. With the newly implemented bump feature you need to press the bump button (normal members can use it once a month), there was a thread somewhere in this section about this topic, just do a search.

As for 'will this cause an infraction' - Am really not sure if you'll get an infraction so wait till some mod replies on this one, you may want to use the report button with a report 'Mods please remove these domains as they are sold' so they can edit the thread on your behalf.

    No, its not that difficult.
Whenever you bump your thread, not only it allows you to reset the auction data (all previous bids are cleaned, and you can set min bid, reserve, BIN, validity of auction and everything) it also gives you a limited time chance to made edits in the opening post. You can update your prices, change the description or anything.

8 hours from the time of hitting bump button, thats how long you can edit the post

P.S. - I haven't tested it so i am not sure, its what the admin said on some other thread.

Yes, 8 hours is the limit of time you can edit a new/bumbed thread anywhere in this forum,
