Hello, I have2 websites one is a social network fans, followers, diggs, and google plus ones site, website creating site, and a few others are blogs. I am NEW to SEO so I am having trouble getting traffic and customers. I was wondering if anyone has successfully advertised their site on Craigslist? If so, how?

I've used craiglist before but haven't used it for a couple of years.
craiglist is too time consuming and there too many rules in place to
    really market effectively.

After leaving craiglist i tried backpage and kijiji. There were alot easier
to use. They still don't add up to craiglist when it comes to traffic.

CraigsList is a great site to generate some traffic but as mentioned they do have many rules so its quite easy to get your post deleted along with your account.

With Craigslist you have to keep posting. With SEO, you do the work once and it doesn't get wiped out. Make sure you have done good keyword research and on-page optimization for that keyword or keywords you are trying to target. Get traffictravis (free version) and let it analyze your page. Then I would suggest using a service called linkpushing(dot) net. They will build backlinks for you, which will help you get ranked higher in the search engines and bring you more traffic.

kijiji is only available in Canada if I remember correctly. Typing kijiji.com leads you to ebay.

CL is great but it has become harder and harder posting ads over there. I suggest put more of your time into oganic SEO, it will pay off in the long term.

Craigslist is great if you can get your ads to stick, but most of the time people (competitors really) just flag it

Try using some alternative classifieds websites, I'm sure you'll find them a lot less time consuming.

Of course, they'll have less traffic than CL, but that's why you can post on 4-5 different ones to get more visitors.

I have been a craigslist advertiser for years now. Over the years it has become more and more difficult to post there. Even legitimate ads get ghosted left and right. The main thing with craigslist is to have one account and use it sparingly. Some categories are more filtered than the others. In your case I'd try the community category on both CL and BP. Make sure you post in one city and in one category. Make your ads look as different as possible.

I think you might want to avoid craigslist and focus on learning SEO. It can help and speed up a lot of things that might come from craigslist. There are also a number of books on using craigslist.. you can search online for them.. most are free or under $10.

First you have to focus on doing SEO; one page as well as off page. Use OLX instead of craigslist, I thinkg this will help you more then craigslist and OLX is also easy to use.

    Another clueless DP expert.

With SEO, you do the work once, get wiped out by changing Google algorithms, do the work twice, get wiped out by changing Google algorithms, do the work thrice, get wiped out by changing Google algorithms, and so on ad infinitum.
