I own a very high traffic website, and I have no ads on yet. Which would benefit me more, adsense or some pure CPM website. And if so which do you recommend? My traffic is 80% Canadian and 95% north american. Unsealed.
I would honestly just test out both. If they are high traffic it shouldn't take too long to determine which one converts best. Honestly, I would just do some of the automatic testing that Google offers. This way you can put both Adsense on there, and then an affiliate offer and see which one does best. Remember to test multiple offers, sometimes its not your traffic its the offer itself keeping it from converting.
Yep, testing it the only way to know. Too many variable depending on the market. No one can claim to know what will work best until you put an real offer in front of real live people.
You can look at all the results and stats. that you can your hands on but the best method is to test and see what works best for you and your particular site. Trends change so quickly that what works one week might not work so well the next.
Another option you can consider is to place CPA banners on your site that are relevant to your traffic. With the right traffic, CPA can be very profitable and takes very little effort to maintain an ongoing income. Well done on your site, btw! Martin Oz!
The best is sell ads place that provide you fix income and and mostly able to offer for high cost. Adsense quite risk but you may try to see how much you can earn before you sell your ads place for people to place their ads on your site.
There are many things you can try on your website ! Adsense- Good source and could make you decent Money Chitika- Same like Adsense CPA- Get paid when someone fill a very short form ! and lots more.... Depends on what you choose
It is great and you should select addsens because in my opinion you can earn a lot of money because your mostly traffic from north america and canada which is better for you to earn and attract google and CPA.
Adsense is good but you have to be very careful not to offend Google or it will cut you dead faster than you can blink. Blink. No adsense. Ever.
What is your niche? Is it something that your visitors could have problems with, if so focus on a solution and then find an offer to promote as an affiliate, CPA or both. You could always include Adsense at a later date. If you can find a few high cost PPC keywords to target, and your website is directly targeted to your keywords and the overall topic of your website, then you should not have too much trouble with Adsense. What is the traffic? Where does it come from? If your traffic is not targeted to your niche then nothing will convert. If you gave a little more information, niche, traffic source etc, then that will help others to help you. Have fun! Dave
Thank you all for the fast replies!! pHpgator: Honestly, I would just do some of the automatic testing that Google offers : Could you please elaborate on this matter? I storesf1 : My niche really doesn't click at all it seems =( And they probably won't click much, that's why i need some CPM i believe. Traffic is north american, and we're talking over 500k views daily. I'm gonna go ahead and try some cpm networks. Adsense is offering me way too much cpc and not enough CPM. Will it fix overtime? etc? Samrath Gupta : So far adsense has been very low earning wise. I have another small question! Adsense is telling me i got for example 200k views yesterday. While awstats reports 500k views. Why such difference?
Go with a test, though I think adsense would probably bring a better return, especially with google's remarketing - the ads wont always be targeted to the content of your site, rather some ads will follow you around the web these days
You may have to consider how to place Adsense ads targeting into your website. This can be learnt if you read Google Adsense email.
Adsense is great but since your site is a very high traffic site as you said, here's better... Search your main keywords in Google and look at those advertising through adwords. Contact as many of them as you can and tell them about the traffic your site is receiving and how valuable and (cheaper) it will be for them to advertise on your site directly, instead of (or as well as) adwords. It's a good idea to show them the exact traffic your site is receiving. If you really want to gain trust you can provide them free ad spots for a few days or even weeks, so they can see how valuable your traffic really is. You will be surprised how much more money you can make from this instead of from adsense, Kingsley
