What is the growth of SEO in India?

Hi all SEO professionals,

Please tell me what the Growth of an SEO Analyst in India.

 

The SEO industry in India is growing with peak speed, but other countries like US, Australia, New Zealand, Phillipines are not so back, they will US is at top, next is India, entire Europe is also doing good.

 

They generally outsource the works to India or other such countries where they can get more money, quality works with low labor cost.

 

india is a developing market which is growing so fastly in area of SEO. most affordable SEO workers are available in india only.

 

Unfortunately, while some outsource "link building", a.k.a. spamming to India or the Philippines, I do not think this work is quality. Yes, the Indian workers are very determined and do exactly as they are told to + their labor is cheap (which is bad, because they are being practically exploited), but as Google is going towards quality over quantity I think the Indian market should switch as well. More and more people are searching for native speakers to write content or to post on forums.

 

Not bad if you target right audience and give expected result. As far as i have seen people prefer local firms more than outside. A Business owner in Delhi will prefer a SEO firm nearby (great if you have a physical office)..

#tip : instead of targetting SEO services in India, Target more specific like SEO firms in Mumbai or so.You will get better results.

 

SEO is slowly gaining momentum in India. I would say only in 2011 major webdesign and web development companies started taking SEO seriously in India, but as Nyagoslav said they are still lagging in quality.

About job opportunities in this field, yes, there are a few, but the problem is finding the right company. If you are seeking a career in SEO, look for metros like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and New Delhi. Other states are still lagging in this field, I'm not saying other states don't have good SEO companies, but they don't have more client exposure or have done more SEO projects, maybe by next year this field will gain momentum and provide a lot of job opportunities.

Note: One should have minimum of one year experience in this field. Good Companies won't select or even consider your profile if you don't show your achievements, experience. There is a misconception among many that SEO is all about website promotion that's not true it is an area where you also work on Clients Brand Name, Marketing Strategy, Products etc and a small mistake can tarnish everything, that's why many companies don't even consider a profile if one can't show their previous experience in this field.

 

its not stable. Because the people of Asia basically India, Pakistan, Bangladesh just read a few posts, see some videos on SEO and think that they are master in SEO.
very funny right?
most of them don't even know what is SEO without making the Profile back links from Angela and Paul packages
so the original knowledgeable SEO is still steady in India.

SEO in India is growing as E-commerce and Online Shopping sites are increasing.

 

digitalwebman brings up a great point... be a master at your skills... because there are too many fake SEO-ers that proclaim results, when they can't even rank their own websites lol.

In my opinion, there's great opportunity.. Only if you genuinely master your craft... Don't be like the rest of the crappy outsourced services!
