Rep dot 1 to 2 = 2 Years; Rep dot 2 to 3 = 25 days !

Ha, I created a thread 25 days back telling that how I was happy to get my second rep dot in 2 years -> http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2314458

It took me 2 years to achieve that. After this I became so motivated that I created many useful threads. Users started to respect and rep me in this forum. It kept me so motivated. Surprisingly my rep grew from 2 dot to 3 dot in a matter of just 25 days !!!

Some of my threads like this and this has got thousands of views, many replies and many reps!

Now I understand that if we truly dedicated our time and create some useful threads for people, they really rep it. It's not a matter of rep, people start to see you as an expert in a topic and starts to respect you. People starts PMing you asking for your help and suggestion. People start seeing as a big brother :) Oh, wow, this is nice :)

It used to be a lot easier to get rep back earlier, it's hard to talk about new interesting stuff these days -- since you have to spend time reading all those posts that have been posted thousand times before. But like you say, if it's interesting enough, people will appreciate it. Glad you're happy with it :)

It's just simple. Basic human thumb rule. If people aren't interested they wouldn't be sticking around :)

And a small suggestion for you. Try to earn people. Below image will explain it better. Lol :)

How do you earn people? I only know how to earn money. And I am not interested in any reps and post counts but I'm still sticking around. Therefore your logic is false. And your imagine doesn't explain shit.

Child would know. You get what you give. Be kind and people will love you.

(I understand that there are some freaks here too...) If you don't like or not interested, why bother to still stick around? Why give yourself as a naive blunt image? If you don't like you should simply get the hell out of this thread !

If you don't like my replies, you shouldn't have created this cry baby thread. Tough luck, I will stick around just like I want to. Deal with it.

Oh by the way, crying won't remove your red reps, it just makes you look like a cry baby crying for pointless things.

Ha ha nice joke. I can't stop laughing that you made such a good joke on your 10,000th post. Red reps? Who has a red rep??? You should really read the content of a thread before replying - This isn't a thread about red reps. Learn up, Project Mobius. There isn't age restriction for learning! I understand that humans try and divert topics when they don't know how to hold their pointless thoughts. I am glad that you are sticking around. Glad indeed. If you really don't like reps and post counts, why have you spent your time in this forum by posting 10,000 times and gaining reps. Oh, wait a second. Is this called 'increasing post counts by pointless posts'.... I guess this is against DP terms. Or is it a bug in the forum software??? ROFL !!!

Ok tell me what special perks do you get by having large amounts of post counts and greens? Oh gee, I must be violating the terms, I wonder why I'm still here. Are you implying DP mods aren't doing their jobs? Oh gee....

Oh by the way too many red reps give you red dot

I don't care about post counts. Posting countless pointless post is waste of time IMO. Posting quality threads and replying to people in a way to help build conversation is worthy. It helps in the learning process (At least to me). However having good number of reps (typically in most cases) mean that the person is well established in a forum and has offered credible information in the past. This builds up credibility to the user in the forum. That's the whole point of having the goddamn rep system. If you are against it and if you don't like it, I can not do a thing about it. Honestly I don't have to explain to you that 'a' is 'a', when everyone in the forum knows why a rep system is being installed.
