Do Google and the other search engines take any notice of the number of followers you have in Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon etc? Is it worth spending time getting followed by lots of people or is 1 link from the domain all that counts???

Is it worth having a "follow us on Facebook" type link on your site?? Or does this make any links from Facebook reciprocal links and therefore not worth as much??

You are in different world, social marketing will help your ranking only by posting your link no matter what happens on the social media site

Najid - many thanks - so your view is that the number of followers you have is unimportant and that only the link counts??
