How do i do this text effect?

Hi,
How do i do this effect?

The text at the top that says "Uploading.com"
Is it just a gradiant?

Also,
How do i make it so the gradient curves.
Like in this image

This is really easy to do (see image attached):


Step 1: Create text fadded (gradient) from full color to white. (image 2)
Step 2: Create the same text 50% transparent + 50% full color (dark pink); you can use gradient as well. (image 3)
Step 3: Combine last 2 images (image 4)



Hope it helps...

 

And for the waves you can play with the gradant as you wish...
BTW I used Fireworks (Macromedia) but you can do it in any advanced image editor. Let me know if you have any other questions...

 

Well, in Photoshop I would use the pen tool, make a waved line over the text, make the selection, fill with a colour, with that layer still selected make the selection of the text layer, click the layer mask button, and maybe mess around with the opacity a bit.

For the uploading.com above:

1. Stroke of white 2px or so.
2. Drop shadow it.
3. Create white layer cover top half of text, lower opacity to about 20.
4. You don't need graident, the text can just be one color. The opactiy thing makes it look like graident, but it's not.
