Were you affected by Google's recent Panda update on October 14th, 2011? We saw some crazy stuff - high quality sites going down, with low quality sites going up. Regardless, we all have to deal with it. See the Google Analytics chart below. I got destroyed on October 14th, but a full recovery was achieved in November. See how I did it here: http://sehabitat.com/blog/panda-2-6-recovery-case-study-1/ Leave a comment here or on the blog please. This is my first in a series of case studies on my sites affected by Panda. I have another that is 60% recovered since Oct 14th and it took a lot of work but it improved my site a lot too.
wow..very interesting post.. a few month ago my site got deindex..and my traffict very low ..<ik/day..
That's a great news for you. As the Panda update released this year, many sites were affected. They move up those mostly-like sites and push down those crappiest, dirtiest and non-sense sites. Google Panda is more strict today.
I lost half my traffic with the original February Panda release. In October I gained it all back. How? I removed the excessive footer links on each page pointing to other pages on my website. Google apparently had interpreted them as spammy.
My recovered site has a lot of duplicate content, but not the same kind created by Wordpress default installations.
