    Hey there,

As the title describes, does anyone know how this can be accomplished? Or is the regular setup sufficient?

    Thanks!

A regular setup should be sufficient. The Analytics JavaScript can run for whoever has access to visit the page and who has JavaScript enabled.

GA tracking code is executed from the user's browser. It starts tracking when visitor arrive to the page, doesn't matter whether the visitor is signed in or not.

If your members is 'members.yoursite.com' then I'm sure you can create a multi-level GA code, this way you should be able to see statistics of your 'members.yoursite.com' as well as your root domain stats.

This is the better option since it's subdomain and separating it from the main domain will help in simpler tracking & analysis.
