First of all Sign up for Google Analytics (You can use your gmail account to sign in).
then you will have all the option to including instruction how to and where to use things.

It won't work for WP as there is not any plugin for this. But you can have a file either header.php or footer.php from site server. You need ftd details to download header/footer file from server and then add GA JavaScript Code in the file you have downloaded and then upload it. And you are done.

Hey for that you have to follow same procedure. Login your GA account -> add new profile -> paste the link of blog and get code and paste it in the header section of the blog. or some WP theme also provide separate section for GA, you can to check that out. But in both case above method will gonna work ! Hope this will help you.
