A question for all the whitehat pro's on the forum I am putting links on my sites, So that they are included inside of the words, So that they will not be seen as links. It's not hidden, Meaning, if you press on the link you will go somewhere, I just made it so it will be in the same color of the text (and not blue with a line, Like most links are) - Can this cause a penalty on my whitehat sites? Example: I went to see a movie. Inside the word "movie" there is a link pointing to a specific site, Only it is not blue+line like it's normally is.
That alone shouldn't cause a problem. Don't pile on too many questionable practices or human review might ban you when you trip a filter.
No, Google will not issue a penalty based on this. However, you have violated the first principle of SEO- Design your site for human readers
Human reviewers at Google do visit the top SERP results all the time...to ensure that their algorithm is working properly and giving quality results.
I think you might want to research that with millions and millions of websites and URLs no way in hell Google or any other search engine or directory (DMOZ) could review them all... that is one of the reasons DMOZ failed Lastly were that even remotely realistic then there would not be the spam that there is and has been present in the top SERPS Nice try though......
