I have an opportunity to buy a blog post for my "custom Wordpress themes" site on a PR6 tech blog. Can such link help my site or not because it is not related? Do you think tech and Wordpress are related subjects? Also, on the tech blog there are only blog posts about cell phones and Apple products. There are no any Wordpress related posts, so I'm afraid to buy a link from this blog. But on the other hand it is PR6. What would you do?

How it's not related, tech & internet fall under same category, and I mean internet and all of it's content which wordpress is small part of it.
It will help you whether it is related or not... just use relevant keywords related to your website and this would be more beneficial to you and this will increase Search Engine Visibility.
PR6 sites that are willing to sell links are hard to find, espicailly ones that are asking reasonable prices. If the stats of the site look good I say go for it.
