Why do People think God looks like a Man?

God has no gender. He is neither male nor female, He is One without comparison. Why do they try to create a likeness of Him. When I say him its a pronoun it doesn't imply that it is a male yet grammatically when referring to God in the pronoun of him or he no gender should be ascribed to Him.

 

It has to do with knowledge and understanding.
First grader vs college student. If both are given a complicated lecture to learn, who will learn and know it better?

Being more of an agnostic, than a religious person, I'd say we believe that God is a Man just because we are more or less cocky and would love to know we have something from God in us.

 

He has no gender yet u call god "He"? You should call it "It" or I will call it " Shemale"

 

Most people are accustomed to calling god "he",as in Christianity god's referred to god-father (could you call a father - she?). Muslims' beliefs also presuppose that Allah is a man, not a woman

We, atheists, don't want any reward from your imaginary friend anyways. We don't seek to please him to being with. We work on bringing justice in this world not in some imaginary world that comes after our graves so that people get their rewards for their hard work (not some worthless act of praying) here - on this earth.


Faith, is the act of abolishing reason and logic - things that religion doesn't know a thing about. Religion is mainly interested in woodoo magic, miracles, and the rising dead. That's why people's best logic for believing in god is "I know deep inside my heart that there is a god, even if I can't explain it or find reason for it" (lol).

Anthropomorphism is the belief in a God as a human being or a personification of God. When you adopt this belief, you attribute human qualities to God and you are then inclined to believe that God thinks as you do. But god is not human and so should not be treated like one, even as to how he looks to people.

 

yeah the theory that the universe created itself is more logical than having a God that created it; what is your IQ? I bet it is in the thousands? lol

God created the universe (time, space, matter, and energy)
=> God created time
=> God existed before time
=> God is eternal

 

Can you actually prove it or somebody else told you this? Did he also asked for some cash, out of curiosity.

 

People who believe in those things don't "think" anything.. They learn it from others and stick with that. They are taught everything is about humans.. So pathetic!

"Creation" refers to a change with respect to time; without time, the term "creation" makes no sense. God exists outside of time that He created when He made the universe, and therefore He cannot be a created being; He is eternal.
