    Hi Dp Members,

    I have been assigned a new website for the optimization purpose, i have given the suggestion to validate the Website with W3C Standards.

    following are my question regarding W3c Validation.

    1. Dose Validating a site will help is SEO?
    2. If i put a validating button in my website will it decrease / increse my page rank ?
    3. Dose putting outbound link to good sites like W3C or Wikipedia affects in Seo?

    Please help me out on those questions, as my senior as asked me to create a report.

    Yes, validating a site is really help in SEO process because its loading time is now decrease and browser crawler is now easy to find out your website and gives result. So its very necessary to validate site.

    And I think there are no any changes if I give a outbound link in our site.

    Ok, But can you tell me something About Out going Links to site like Wikipedia , W3c, Technorati?

    will this affect my page rank?

    "no-follow" backinks won't help you to increase your page rank. e.g. All links from Wikipedia are by default nofollowed. But it may increase your website traffic.

    Outgoing links to any site will work towards moving your PR.

    But if you are referencing or recommending those sites, then go ahead and do it. It will not affect you in any way. As long as you are not participating in selling links or putting random links for few bucks, you can link to the reputed sites.
