Will NOFOLLOW Links help in boosting ranks?

Hi Guys, its some time since i m getting this question in my head

1- Does No Follow backlinks like, links from Blog Comments, / Forums profile help in boosting rank for a website?

2- If i check in backlinkcheker, will No Follow Back link appear? or only DoFollow back links appear in any Online Backlink Checker?

3-Will No Follow backlink be still counted as a Backlink to a website?

1. Some search engines are now considering the "NoFolow" links from high PR sites. NoFollow links are also helpful. For example, all links of the "Yahoo Answer" are NoFollow, but still they are valuable.
2. NoFollow links are also appear on the Backlink checker tool. But they are flagged as "NoFollow".
3. Yes, NoFollow links are are also considered as Backlinks.

So even NOFOLLOW backlinks are fine to in our SEO activities from HIGH PR sites, they would also help in rank boosting i guess

 

Its good to have nofollow links to keep your profile natural, but they do not give you much weight toward rankings. Having them target anchor text of specific keywords is good as well,helping associate your domain with the right keywords will help you rank stronger.

 

I haven't seen any actual proof, but I suspect the way search engines use "nofollow" these days is:

1. Yes, they probably do count in your rank, but probably less than a "follow" link, and it will be positive/negative depending on where the link comes from
2. They probably don't count (much) for the site the link is coming from, so having "nofollow" links from site A to site B won't affect site A's rank (much, if at all)

Nofollow gives you no PR juice, it won't boost your SEO ranking. Those other search engines that might do it don't drive traffic anyway. You should still get them though as Google likes natural sites.

 

nofollow links still rank your site.. did a test the using only nofollow and follow links on 2 sites for the same niche and the site with only nofollow links still ranked..

 

One fact is for sure... nofollow links wont harm your site in any way.

If they do not contribute to your serp, at least they are a source of traffic.

If the Backlink is from a high pr site, I just don't care whether it is follow or nofollow, I just grab it

 

I can't say about rank, but submitting in popular sites like youtube and metacafe can bring nice amount of traffic.

My point of view is that if a site is no follow ,but high amount of traffic, you should get links from those sites.

 

Directly they will not help . Indirectly they will . It is important that you have natural link profile of your site to rank high . In a natural link profile you generally get links from a variety of sources. Among them having NO Follow links is very likely . On the other hand if you get links from a site with huge amount of traffic , it will help your site be in front of many visitors among them some may buy from you or may blog about your site .

 

As i know, nofollow link give you traffic and search engine back link as well . if you have lots of nofollow and some dofollow back links so your website will be come on search engine

Wikipedia uses nofollow, do you really think their link is worthless?
I don't buy that...

 

Even it is "no follow," it can give high amount of traffic.

 

In my case, trying to rank for a low competition keyword i get #1 position easily only with NoFollow and some (low PR) DoFollow links.
So my experience from NoFollow links is positive, i can't say though is NoFollow links will help for a high competition keyword.

 

now i am confused after reading this threat. i was looking for some good seo info to drive traffic to my new blog latestcomputertricks.in . genuine suggestions are welcomed.

 

For instance compare a nofollow link to a site from Wikipedia to a do follow link from any given site/blog etc.
Hey it is Wikipedia. It counts.

 

Still No follow links are valuable. They give traffic to site.
