SEO and Images

    What is the best way to help Google pickup images? I used a photo program which creates thumbnails/slideshows, but there are no tags on these photos or the pages it creates. Also, do any of the photo sharing sites get picked up well by google (I would imagine Picasa.. what about Flickr?)

    every image must have alt, and title. These alt and title of the image should keep the keywords and some how describe the image. Google will surely index your images.

    Alt text are the best way to promote your page in image search. Moreover you can share your photo link in various photosharing websites with keywords as title or tag.

    Put all image in the a Separate directory into the Root Directory. Image Name should be SEO friendly and Put ALT Tag in all images.

    These all are major points which can help to crawl all images available on the website.

    It is best to put Alt tag for each image. This way you can get your images indexed in Google.

    The best way to index the images in Google or other SEs is using the proper 'alt' attribute. Also make sure you have given permission to Google image crawler in your robots.txt file as well.

    Always use ALT tag on images , so Google easily pickup the images alt tag.

    Try to rename the images in a descriptive manner. Like tom-with-a-cat.jpg relevant than 00029.jpg.
    Also "alt" tags helps in this case.
    You can also add the "title" tag but it doesn't helps much.
