I have get a negative impact from this google new algorithm since march 2011.now i understand that google is more concentrate their SEO to the on page instead off page seo.they will increase your rank if you have unique content rather than you have plenty backlinks.

Google Panda is the new algorithm from Google which loves quality content and quality backlinks from niche sites. Several sites have lost their PR after this update and several other gained. Just update your page with quality content on a regular basis and get backlinks from niche sites.

This update is similar to caffeine update but it might not impact to most of users same like caffeine did.If you are a webmaster and if you copy other peoples content and publish it on your web site beware google panda will be a major impact to you because Google mainly deployed this new algorithm to prevent content farmers a butt kick.
Google Panda is really cracking down hard on the article directories. So many website owners don't write their own content. They just steal. Or the website owner's will take the same article and post it to the same article directory. Doesn't look good and it's risky. Not worth the punishment you would take in the SERPS.
I would like to add that it is not only about duplicate content, it is about content quality. Even if the all the pages have completely different content but they all look the same, it is an issue for Panda, also things like that there is too much ads above the scroll etc. So you just have to look at your site with the view of your visitors - does the page brings value.
