WebTalkForums is a Webmaster Forum established in 2006. I recently purchased the forum in May 2011 and quickly went to work on it. The traffic has definitely increased since I took over. With a brand new custom design and forum restructuring , I was on my way to getting it bigger and better. The forum gets quite a few new members a day. I wanted to keep this forum and make it better , unfortunately I have to concentrate on my primary business and do not have time to dedicate to the community. I would rather see it in the hands of someone who will nurture it back to its glory.

I am not claiming any revenue. The whole time I owned the forum I mainly concentrating on fixing it and getting it ready. I just put up banners for place holders a week ago. I just sent in to buysellads.com to get the forum listed. The previous owner was making revenue from that and selling ad space.

How long has the site been number 1 ? ( its 9th in the uk currently ) are you sure its number one and you just havent logged out of your google account ? The only reason i ask is because 218 hits for "webmaster forum" across the whole month is terrible , A site of mine currently gets more hits for that keyword and it ranks between 9th and 14th.

Also what is the large spike in traffic and why is it going to http://www.webtalkforums.com/general-promotion/ , did you buy or exchange traffic ?


At the top of the thread it says $200 monthly revenue however in the actual thread you say you are not claiming any revenue, which is it ?

It also claims at the top that you get 30,000 unique visitors, where your google analytics's claim 23,000 but obviously until you explain what that spike is it could be as low as 17,000.

Could you show stats for previous months also.

IM genuinely interested just like i was last time it was on sale but i the above needs to be explained before making a decision, personally not a fan of that theme either but thats only my personal preference.

 

Also you say there are moderators, Are they active ? there seems to be alot of spam for a site that has that many staff . e.g : half the threads in this forum : http://www.webtalkforums.com/general-promotion/

I would also be genuinely interested if you could answer RiverWire's questions. Where was this listed for sale when you bought it? Is there a thread or something from that listing? I realized things have changed with the site but I'd like to see the information.

Why aren't you running adsense? Is the site banned as far as Adsense is concerned?
