    Laceygirl I have read out your blog. There is some websites don't have more then 100 backlinks but they have a google PR? How they get it. Some websites have more then 500 backlinks but they did not get Google PR?

    I have seen sites with 10 backlinks and they have page rank of 3. It is a mystery as to how this all works.

    guys, there's no secret mystery to it. Its real simple.
    Lets say you get a backlink from an excellent quality website. The type of pr 5 website that gets lots of traffic with a smooth design that's to read for spiders. A website that is close to the same niche as yours.

    Well, on the next update you can expect a PR3, 4, or 5 from just that one backlink. That's why there are so many people buying links around here. Its a quick way to get a higher pr.

    Now on the other note, if you get 4000 china/india backlinks on random spam sites where they stole all of the content, its not updated often, and the coding is a total mess, then google may count your link in as a backlink, but its a grain of salt in the sea. Google does not even think the site you got a link in is worth a damn, so therefore if you have a backlink to that worthless junk, then this particular backlink is not going to throw a pr increase.

    You can get an increase in your PR by getting backlinks from authority sites in your niche, however you have to have compelling content for the authority sites to link back to you
