    if google buyed youtube and u can see google ads then what is strange thing in that i cant get you.More over youtube is not completly under google control presently.

    I don't find it strange certainly.

    Moreover, Google earns from Advertisers too (I suspect). So, if there are clicks on ads, surely they gain.

    yes I dont understand why google purchased youtube for $1.65-billion USD, and then them will take back $1.65-billion by google ads ? how long it will back ?
    when youtube owned by google I guess I will not see google ads again, and google will use youtube for their expansion like put new features at their main site, email , or other google features , but untill now I dont take any best reason why google purchased youtube very verryyy expensiveeeeee :D

    youtube is very big site with huge traffic that will help google lot to compete with yahoo or msn.We know about google if he payes 1.7 bill$ he will extract 17 billions :D

    Wow... this is a bad thread... but I'll post to it anyways... :)

    Google makes their money from Adwords/Adsense, so they show Google Ads on their website and on YouTube to earn income, which they will use to buy some other website for a billion dollars, and continue until... well... forever.

    By purchasing YouTube they can ensure that their ads will continue to run, and therefore will continue to earn a LOT of money from YouTube.

    That's why Google bought YouTube and that's why they will continue to show Google Ads on YouTube.
