    hum - not a nice deal...

    it's a quick way to get a duplicate content penalty IMHO

    you could as well write an article and submit it to those artice syndicartion services to get the same result

    Not sure It'll penalize you, as long as what concerns to your backlinks, in any case it is duplicated content, yes.

    I don't think google even applys a duplicate penalty anymore, not for one page anyway. they just chose to filter the duplicate results from the search results and display what they believe to be the original source.
