Google dominating the internet?

Well I know that google has the best and most known search engine in the world, www.google.com. But Google Inc. also offers other services, and I just went on alexa today, and Google has like 24 sites in the Top 50 Sites, they are pretty much dominating the internet

Some of the sites are:
Google, (.com .de .ca .it .co.uk all these sites, most of them are in the top 50) Youtube of course, blogspot.com (Blogger), googleusercontent, adsense, gmail and more sites.

What do you think guys? Is it really good that one company is basically dominating the internet with all their services.

I like Google. They're fair and give everyone a chance. And nothing is permanent anyways. You never know when another genius comes up with a idea and gives Google goosebumps.

 

I think Google's nearest competitor (for eyeballs) is Facebook. Doesn't surprise me many of their relates sites are highly-ranked -- many are useful!

 

I don't see Google going anywhere for a while. Been dominating a long time and will continue to do so.

 

I don't think it's good. But there isn't much to do about it except stop using them.

 

I think that Google is generaly fair to everyone. everyone has a chance to be no1 in the ranking.

 

Google is pretty much competing with Facebook for traffic now. Hence the release of Google plus. Only difference is Google will soon before Microsoft but for web application instead of hardware and desktop software.

Google is also in different industries. If you search Mortgage Finance, you will see they are in lead generation.

 

What's dominating?? They are providing huge number of services and all for free, this is why they have so many share of internet users... How they seems you that they are dominating??

 

The #2 search engine believe it or not is Youtube, ahead of Yahoo! Google is very dominant. They have an excellent team. They even have their own affiliate network now for web owners. You should check it out if you have some merchandise you might be able to sell.

 

Google is one of the best search engine ever. Its efficiency makes him king and still dominating.

Google is dominating not everywhere. One example is Russia: share of Google searches - 22%, share of Yandex searches - 65%. Make conclusions!

 

G has been able to do well with some things but social media they seem to have missed the boat. I think they are banking on the future of mobility with android.

 

I'd like to see more variety and more company names/search engine providers in the top 50.

 

well it doesnt suppose to be good if one company control the whole internet, but still i think google has only 50% on the searches on the net and the rest 50% are at yahoo, bing, facebook and etc...

 

I am fully satisfied with there service quality, so I have no problem with their presence in those position. They are dominating internet, it is true and people love then, it is also true.

 

With the introduction of google plus, facebook owner is now having sleepless nights. Google is trying to conquer the internet and monopolize it. The have all it takes to advertise their services. Sorry for competitors.

 

Google is just more than a Search Engine service, the other services provided by Google are also a source of fan loyalty that is why the Google will ocntinue to dominate the internet world.

 

Google does have over 60% of the market share and Yahoo, and MSN still have a way to go to topple them
