When it comes to establishing your brand online, if you built it properly and ethically, they will come. SEO will nudge you along more quickly, but the blackhat stuff can prove toxic to you in the long-term.
Google is constantly working on their algorithms to get their search results as accurate as possible. That means anything blackhat always has the potential to cause you problems. No one has any control over what Google does either, so they could completely change the way things work and punish people for anything they want at any time. Always do what seems legitimate to you when it comes to SEO. It is safe to assume that all changes Google makes will be in attempt to bring the most legitimate site results higher than the ones that have pushed their way to the top.
Blackhat will be argued about all day. The reality is if a Blackhat techniques would ban your site from Google then people would apply those techniques to their competition. There are ways to tell if the website owner is doing Blackhat. I really don't recommend Blackhat and I personally know that Whitehat works best. Take your time and do it right and in the long run you will be far more successful.

Black hat is the worst part of a webmaster. if you really want to become a professional webmaster then just avoid them and don't even try to learn them. because the more you get knowledge the more you will be interested to apply them. thanks
Google is always updating their algorithms. Avoid doing some Black Hat SEO because Google is now very accurate in detecting that kind of technique and you'll get banned.
A lot of people are using blackhat technique since its easy and fast. But just like the others, Google always updating their algorithm which they detect sites that uses blackhat technique. Once they got your site, they will penalize you else get banned for sometime. All your work will end up nothing. Its going to be a waste of time and money. Best advice - do the white hat!
Black Hat : There is only one thing I can say, please avoid this method if you really don't want to go with unethical SEO.

I think the line is really thin because if its so easy to get people penalized, people would do it to their competition.
