Why no Mobile Style?

Why there is no mobile style for DP?
As long as I know, vBulletin's default mobile style has improved a lot since the version 4.1.6 is out.

Shawn, don't you have any plans to implement that?

The mobile style really isn't that good... for example you can't get to your UserCP or see subscribed threads that have new replies.

Oh yes, I just checked with vBulletin's own UserCP page. :(
Too bad, I hope they will add this soon.

@spoiledkid - although Shawn wont be immune to seeking good revenue opportunities, I'm sure that implementing a not-so-great mobile website feature would be more damaging to DP (and you have to understand, DP is probably a BIG and proud achievement for him) than it'd be worth to him. Not to mention the extra loads it might bring. I'm sure if vB sort out the mobile version to a good enough standard, Shawn would implement it.

Well first of all, revenue has nothing to do with it... even if it DID increase revenue, it wouldn't be something we would implement when it's not up to par.

That being said... I'm curious to know EXACTLY how you think installing a mobile style will increase revenue? lol

I assume he means because people not bothering to check DP 'on-the-move' due to no mobile site = less visits / ad clicks etc.. And perhaps mobile ads (if you don't have them already) could be implemented if you had the mobile site up.. But meh. Only time I ever used my phone for internet was when I had no internet. I'm never in a rush to make my sites mobile.

    EDIT: Posts 1,111 xD

I've gotta wonder why someone decided to leave me the following negative feedback on my previous post:

Mobile versions tend to suck on 90% of websites that I frequently visit. I end up switching it to full version anyway.

I bought a $900 phone so I wouldn't need to rely on "mobile versions" - the full site works great.
