Is it possible to use google to search and only get results with specific top level domains like edu, .com or .gov?

    Yes, you can...

    Try like: keyword site:*.edu

This will search your keyword only in edu sites...

normally you can get a bunch of sites really easily. it can be done by searching in the forums and also in Google. just use the keyword and .edu or .gov.
