    Yes. Definitely can be friends. Nowadays, it doesn't mean boy & girl needs to have a special relationship instead of being just friends. It is the same as guy & guy being friends. It is the mentality of how a person's thoughts when come to relationship. It is common for being just friends among opposite sexes.

    Ya same situation I had in the past like u Turtlenation, I had a female friend but soon we get intimated with each other. So i think a guy & girl can never be friends.

    I was friends with my girlfriend for 4 years before we started dating. I think it has improved our relationship a lot, as we both know each other well. We've both been there for each other at our worst.
