Tag as a keyword - Right or wrong

Hello,

I m in tech blogging feild since last 5-6 months and still continue it,

But i would like to know 1 thing about tag as we usually place on every blogpost.

Is there safe in google if i place tag as a keyword on blogpost ?

Such as : Galaxy S 2 release date,Galaxy S 2 Specs, Samsung Galaxy S 2 features... etc


Am i face any problem in feature if i do that ?

 

Google will attempt to identify the keywords on your website. So you can mention your keywords in the content with relevancy. Tagging with keywords is generally done by seo people. I guess it is not a problem.

 

One of my friend faced a very serious problem in last few days as he loosed %80 traffic from google search engine ,, dropped few keyword which are getting huge traffic ,, he did not build any link building because got ranked automatically by google ,,

No idea what kind of problem he is facing nowdays as well as i m also afraid of this kind of problem..

 

Keyword Anchor text in links can be a big search ranking aid.

Tag is a simple one keyword. Like Googe, Yahoo, Bing, Search, Engine, Reults, etc

 

In my opinion you should not tag like that. Tags should be better used as another level of categorization, something like subcategory.

why? Because with adding so many tags on each post you will force google to index thousands of pages without quality content. So, you will get indexed pages for all the tags like: Galaxy S 2 release date,Galaxy S 2 Specs, Samsung Galaxy S 2 features.... Do you need a page with duplicated content for each of that keywords - NO!

In your case i would choose maybe one tag "samsung galaxy" or "samsung galaxy s2"... that way, you will have a general samsung category on your blog and if someone needs articles on "galaxy" they will be all grouped under that tag.

So, dont use so many tags. Thousands of indexed pages without quality content - RUBBISH website!

Than tag should be min 3-4 enough ?

I prefer not to use it since search engine able to choose the keyword from the contents

 

Visitors usually search like this - Galaxy S 2 Specs, Galaxy S 2 features, Galaxy S 2 review, Galaxy S 2 release date, Galaxy S 2 Price..

We could not place above keyword directly in the posts ,, it wont be a good readable post.

Don't be tension about this matter.It is depend on you how you will tag keyword on your site.Whenever you increase your density of keyword it will be more beneficial for you.

 

Recently a panda update went and my friends blog traffic decreased %80 - i don't know the proper reason of this damage,

He added same " TAG " As i have mentioned in above reply,, added min 30-40 tag each posts..

The tags for a blog are the few words that best describe what your blog post is about. Ideally there are 5-10 keywords that specifically bind into your post.
