So I just visited Google to search as usual and was redirected to a beta testing version, which has SSL protection. It claims to prevent any interception by third parties of the search you make?

Anyone else seen this yet? https://encrypted.google.com/

Strange ive been getting all these beta things too of late... by the time i tell someone about it the have pulled it down. Thanks for the link looking into it now.

EDIT... The speed of that is crazy.. results are up before ive thought of something to type.. maybe the lack of load i guess. Should be interesting.

I've been using it as my default search for what seems like years.

You can make it your default search in Chrome as well if you want.

It's been around for a long time, you just had to go there yourself to use it.

They are probably doing this to prevent adware from rearranging the results, pretty cool IMO.

I noticed it long back when I accidentally added a 's' after http.
It's been there since May, 2010. Here is the official announcement.

Why would it be any less accurate than the normal Google search?

Is that what you were expecting? Lol
