SEO is more difficult nowadays

Do you have the same feeling like me? I think SEO has become more difficult than it was 3-4 years ago. I remember putting a link for my site into my DP signature helped a lot - it moved my site somewhere to the 3rd page on Google for my keyword and I didn't have any other backlinks. Now forum signature links do not help, even if I'm a premium member and my sig links are dofollow.

Now I'm struggling to build links as I can, but it looks like SEO is no more an easy thing for me like it used to be before.

What do you think? I would especially appreciate the posts of DP members who do SEO for longer time - at least 3-4 years like me.

Or is it all just the increasing number of websites over the net and this way the competition is becoming bigger and bigger?

I am agree with you. Now a days SEO is getting harder day by day and now its the era of social search engine optimization so one should must have grip on all grounds.

 

SEO has hit a point that means that search engines are continuing to alter their requirements for what they would classify as a quality site, so as you say, a link from Digital Point Forums gives you very little these days.

In respect to that, DP have made the signature links no follow so that they are not passing the equity that they were before.

In terms of link building, you need to be looking towards building multiple sites across different IP's, article marketing on directories with followed links, link exchanges and all sort of other methods.

Search engines are changing and that means that you have to aswell or you will be left behind while others take your limelight.

Now a days not only the SEO getting harder but competition is also becoming bigger and bigger because lots of websites are increasing and everyone is looking for SEO.

 

I agree.so finding better SEO services become even harder then.

 

Its nice and good discussion thread post by you, i only tell to everyone that, there are many ways for SEO, not only depend on off page submission like article submission, social bookmarks, directories. You also do micro blogging, image posting product submission. In SEO day by day we see in online market, lots of methods and technology available but for that we have to research for SEO.

 

I think SEO is same nowadays only what makes you difficult is getting result due to competition in the market.

 

I think the quality of Google results has improved because of the devaluing of massive numbers of identical links on PR0 and PR1 pages.

 

Yer it's a lot more competitive now. You pretty much want to get an SEO company
on your business or build your own because it all depends on your competition.
If they are using an SEO company and you are not. Your little forum links are
not going to have any impact.

dude its a normal thing because as the time passes the competition increases and the amount of sites/ blogs also increases. i think that's why Google is getting strict day by day.

 

It's getting harder, but there's always room for a top rank. Doing the proper keyword research is now a must (more than before).

 

I do agree with the SEO difficult thing. Maybe this is because of Google being so sensitive to every information's. Also with the Panda updates, it's so hard to revive your site when it was been hit by Google Panda.

Since SEO was a part of business strategy in order to increase website visibility and gain potential customer, no wonder that competitions in this industry going gets tougher year by year.

 

Yes SEO has become tougher -
but not impossible.

 

Same feeling, competitions from rivals and changes of algorithm are main reasons that why SEO becomes so hard today. SEO(for organic traffic) is a hard job, while SEM is little bit of easy to bring traffic.
Hmm, just a personal question, is it a good idea to quit SEO while focus on SEM?
