    Hello,

I received the following mail, what exactly does it mean? Sexual and Reproductive Health ? Can you use adsense on adult website, like celebrity wallpapers that contains no nudity but the content is not family safe.

    Hello,

Constantly monitor the types of ads on sites that activate AdSense, so that our policies are consistent and up to date with the needs and expectations of publishers, users and advertisers. Your feedback on the types of ads you want to become available, it is very important.

Plus, you can control the types of ads displayed on your site. You can always check the filtering options classes and make the necessary changes to the address: http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=el&answer=93462.

Currently you have chosen to display advertisements from the "Sexual and Reproductive Health". As part of a regular audit of political ads and responding to user input, changing the definition of advertising that is suitable for viewing in this category to include ads on methods of contraception. This change will take effect in the accounts of publishers on 11 October and will be available in top brand advertisers, such as Seasonique. As with other categories of ads will display these new ads to cases which are very relevant to the content, and all advertisers will remain subject to political content.

If you do not want to see these ads and think that these types of ads are not suitable for users of your site, you can opt out of using them through the operation of filtering categories for your account to AdSense: http://www.google .com / support / adsense / bin / answer.py? hl = el & answer = 93462. You should regularly check the filter categories to see what new types of advertising may become available.

Hopefully we will continue to increase our inventory of ads to help you maximize your returns from AdSense.

Google does not allow adult content for the sake of it. You could show naked breasts if your site was about breast cancer but not if it was simply about naked breasts. Contraception falls in the middle. It is clearly related to sex but it is also a medical thing. Google are basically saying the medical side outways the sex side so it is now acceptable.
What is and is not adult is often tricky to say. My own website on red light districts was blocked at one stage but later unblocked when I appealed. I think it depends on who reviews your site in a lot of cases. Google says- "Sites with Google ads may not include or link to: Pornography, adult or mature content". Regarding wallpapers my own view is that it would be ok as long as they weren't too sexually suggestive. I would also include puppies and mountains etc to keep the site respectable looking. Imagine you were looking at it when an elderly relative walked in. What would their reaction be? "Oh, he's looking at girlie photos" or "He's looking at photos". Obviously you would have to avoid using copyrighted material as well.

Nothing to worry about. Google is going to show ads of contraceptives - they are okay with most of the people. But you should disable these ads only if your site is visited by kids too.

Sure they allow 'adult content'... but you have to use 'Adsense for Search' or 'AFS Ads-Only' with the 'safe search' option disabled.

No I don't think you can. But even if you could, why take that risk?
