Keywords and traffic volume from 1st position in the search results

    Hi All,

    I have a question about google SEO.

    My website LiveDateSearch.com is on the 1st position for 'live dating' keyword in google.

    According to Google Keyword Tool there are 27k monthly searches:
    keyword_tool.jpg

    So I expect around 50% of this volume to go to my website which should be something like 10k visitors per month.

    But all I get from google with this keyword is only 85 visits per month:
    analytics.jpg

    This happens for a few months so far.

    Can anyone help me to understand how this is possible and why I get so few visitors though its on the first position?

    Your site ranking may differ in different countries. To what countries are you targeting?

    We target for US, and I its on the #1 position for US.
    Still the difference between expected and actual is more then 100 times! How this is possible?

    Do you have 27K Exact or Broad Searches for your keyword? Select Exact searches and check the local search volume. It is generally seen that the traffic reported in Google Adwords tool is much more than the traffic received actually.

    I checked 'EXACT' box and it displays 480 queries - this is more relevant to what I get. I just didn't notice this box before :)
    Now I understand what was wrong.
