How should i recognise which site is "do follow" and which one isn't for backlinks?

You can view the page source and look at the links and see if the code says rel="nofollow". If the link code doesn't then the link is "do follow".

Yes it is important in link building. If you are using firefox you can download the plugin called "NoDoFollow".

Just go to a page you want to check and right click and select NoDoFollow and it will make do follow links blue and no do follow links red.

You can download this tool at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nodofollow/

    Hey there,
there are two fast and easy ways to check dofollow/nofollow forums:
check the source code of the current user link of the forum thread. There, if you see <a rel="nofollow" "href="link name">, it means it is a nofollow forum.
Secondly if you are using firefox, there is a free add on which when installed, will highlight all the nofollow links in pink.
    hope this helps! [IMG]

If you are using Chrome (which is one the fastest browsers) then you can install SEO for Chrome plugin. There is an option to highlight no-follow links which will tell you which links are nofollow and which ones are not.

Firefox addon "NoDoFollow" is quite good and easy to use. Try it. Other wise you can look at the source of a webpage for rel="nofollow" attribute.

Install NoDoFollow add-on in your Mozilla Firefox browser. After installing that add-on you will see all links are in two color. Red collared links are NoFollow and violet collared links are DoFollow.

in Firefox there is an adon name Nodofollow. i always use this to find that the link is do follow or no follow. :)
i think its the easiest way. you just have to active the adon and get the result. :0

If you read any attribute like real="nofollow" then the link is nofollow and you can use tool also. And both dofollow and nofollow for backlinks. Both kind of links provide traffic through backlinks to your site. But the thing is that nofollow link can not pass on the weightage of that link page for your page rank.
