Hi guys, I'm posting on behalf of a friend who owns a website that has been live for 1 month, and has generated $25,600. He has many reasons for selling this website, mainly because he has started University and just cannot cope with the workload anymore. This website is not one of those cheap, rubbish auto-blogs, mini-sites or sales page 'make money on auto-pilot' websites, this is a genuine business. My questions is, where can he sell such a high value website? Digitalpoint is mostly from the developing world (no offence intended), and therefore probably not the best place to sell, am I correct? Flippa is an option for such a high value site, but he is wondering if there are any other more appropriate market places out there? Finally, what price should he put on his website? He is aware that it cannot go for 12-24 months value because this is more of a viral website, however is an asking price of $80k reasonable? Thanks
Go for flippa. Be sure to write a very detailed report on the website and several screenshots of proof of income and traffic. Look at resently sold websites on flippa that were succsessfull in selling. Try to find ones in the same niche if possible. Also read the desscussion at the bottom and try to get a feel for how the succsessfull seller answered questions, his demenor, etc...
