Starting a Web Design Site

Hi everyone I'm planning to start a web design company and already have some clients lined up. I was wondering whether I should host their websites on my Webhost which is Hostgator? Or should I get them to sign up to a web host? Because some of my clients don't know how to do anything online so I was thinking let me just put their websites on my webhost. Also if I have a lot of websites on my webhost will it affect anything like speed of my websites? SERP? or anything at all?

I think you should sign up a web host for each of your client under his/her own name, then make an easy-to-understand tutorial how to make new posts, post new articles, change the pictures, etc.

Get a reseller account and make constant money out of them. Don't get a hostgator one (way too expensive) go for serversanddomains or mochahost etc.

you can also offer your clients options like cheaper package for cheaper web host. i also agree with jhardy2008 a single web host will affect the website SERP in search engine. so better host them differently.

Get a resellers account and your problem is solved, speak to Hostgator and I'm sure they'll arrange for your account to be upgraded.

A reseller account is best for you if you plan to have a web design company (or if you already have one). There are truly quite a few people who venture online without knowing anything, so you might want to set up an extra fee to help them manage their accounts. Of course, if you provide excellent service, your clients wont mind paying the fees. Good luck!

You should have them purchase the hosting, but you manage it. Have them pay through an affiliate link so you can get a commission.
