conversion rate of email marketing ?

    I would like to promote a dating website trough an email list.

    Can anyone please tell me what the average conversion rates are ?
    ( How big is the percentage of people who actually open/read the email ?).

    Can anyone please help me, by answering this question?

    depends on:
    -your list quality
    -who you use to send
    -what your ad says
    -if you are sending to the right audience

    I sell lists and get a lot of people who don't know what they are doing. Pretty common question.

    The conversion will certainly depend upon your email list. If it is another crap accumulated from internet, then its hard to even get 0.001% conversion..

    The more targetted your list is the more conversions, even with a targetted list dont expect more than a 2% conversion ratio

    It's a really hard question to answer as there are so many different things that can effect it.

    If you build a really good relationship with your members, you can get 100+% open rates.

    If you are sending low quality offer emails to unknown people, it may get only 1% open rate.

    Depends on where you got the email list. If it is rented or bought then most likely conversion rate will be VERY low since most wouldn't even open the email or even go to spam folder in inbox. If the email is opt in from interested audience then it would be alot higher.
