Is Syria the next target for war?

Some significant sanctions have been approved by the European Union.

These 15 individuals are not just anybody.

No doubt that the next war field will be Syrian land. It's a pity, but the ring around Russia is converging, so the next object of this expansion after Syria will be in the far East. All the sanctions are like first rings towards Syrians and the next war is a question of time.

 

My guess:

Syria is the next Afghanistan and Iran the next Iraq. And whatever will lead towards that is unclear at this point. Another attack within the U.S.?

 

Sanctions aren't war, and I seriously doubt that Syria would attack the EU militarily. Will there be revolution in Syria? The people against the government? Very possible. Will there be a war, with some other nation attacking Syria? A lot less likely.

Bush is no longer making the decisions.

 

Neither does Obama.

 

UN is becoming more and more a puppet organization that provides some kind of "legal justification" for NATO. Not that UN really does matter since USA nd it´s allies will occupy these countries with or without UN excuse.

 

Not sure about that. Remember how the French airstrike began the "Libyan revolt"?

What would the international reaction have been had it be the United States attacking first? Same international support or a fear of being overpowered turning into support for Ghaddafi?

 

You mean the Libyan regime change? It was supposed to be a no-fly zone protecting civilians, but turned out to be a full regime change.

According to what the mass media portrays, that is the one.

 

But of course, there is always more to the story.

 

Or may be an attack on Israel?

 

My guess would be no because America is a much bigger and way less secure target.

I'm guessing Syria is next on the list, followed by Iran, I think they will fail miserably in their plans though.

Only a Romanian thinks that Iraq and Afghanistan was a success and Libya is still in early stage to give opinion. By the way, what is this "we" that you use? How was Romania involved in these events? Did Romania provided hookers for NATO soldiers use?

 

I am so worried about these attacks that being discussed here. Is Syria that bad that need to be attacked? If they will not follow the Universal Rules then I am agreeing on punishing them. But there is still a new way, war must be avoided...

When they do it at the right time, sure. I laughed when I read that line, given their history. I thought it a fair point and both fair questions given the original response.

Afghanistan has come out of the taliban imposed stone age and it's slowly evolving . It now has a army and a police force that won't kill you if you dare to shave . The economy is still in the beginning but slowly things come into place . It's not the best place in the world but it's far better then what it was 11 years ago .

Iraq has come a loong way , the people are free and although violence still plagues the country the people are happy that the regime is gone . As them if they want Saddam back , see what they will respond . I know you're blind to this but I've even seen a few Iraqi webmasters .

As for Libya the fact that our steel eagles and steel sharks helped them achieve freedom is a huge success that has been confirmed but the happy crowds and the millions of rounds of celebratory gunfire .
